When the Relatives Came

We were so glad to see Grandma and Grandpa F, Grandma and Grandpa J, and Cami during Holy Week. As you can tell, Adeline was glad to see them come...

...and sad to see them go. Thanks for coming to visit, family!

Easter Joy

We were glad for company on Easter - Shannon and Jason came to share the day with us. Apostles had 40 in attendance, and the services both in North Branch and Lapeer were a joy. The little bell choir in North Branch rang out their songs beautifully! We were glad Aunt Shannon and Uncle Jason were here so that Adeline didn't have reason make her noise heard too much during church!

A New Day Dawns

The Lord was gracious to his followers in Lapeer! This morning we met as Apostles Lutheran Lapeer Mission in a downstairs room of the Lapeer Community Center. In all we were over 50 souls worshiping our Savior. We had a few families from St. James in North Branch come for this the inaugural service, but the majority of the people were those looking to be members of Apostles. The Lord has blessed the group with a strong core of people, and with his continual blessing we pray that we will continue to add more to our little group!

The title of this blog indicates the theme of the service today. We even had a small (4 people - Pastor, his wife, Steve, and another St. James member) choir singing Psalm 63 from the new liturgy setting. It was an exciting experience, and we are already looking forward to next week and all the weeks to come when we meet together to praise our God!

Say a prayer of thanks to the Lord for bringing his word to Apostles Lutheran Church, and of petition that he allows his word to continue to come to those who need it in Lapeer, MI, and all over the world!

Our Big Girl

Well, the Little Lady is up to a few new tricks these days. She can sit quite well - just doesn't know what to do when she does tumble over! And she's acquiring a taste for rice cereal, as you can see from the picture. No teeth yet, but she'll gnaw on pretty much anything! And she has got a strong grip!
