Catching Up

It's been almost a year since I last worked on this. So I am not going to even try to post the pictures on this site. However, here is a link to a few pictures of everything since last August.

Perhaps I will become more faithful again in updating on this blog. I make no commitments, though. How easy it is to just e-mail Picasa Web Albums, now!

Life is treating us well in Geneva, Nebraska. Adeline likes the sandbox and swing in our backyard, and I like the proximity of everything. Steve's first Sunday went seemingly without a hitch, and he is well on the way to preparing for his second. The people are wonderful and we have come to feel at home.

Michigan Adventures II

What is missing in this picture? Our muffler was removed, and so we had quite the noisy car for the most of our trips. Don't worry - we have a new one now!

Our little Beach Babe

Adeline and Dad on the beach. I think Adeline's face means she just wants to get down and play in the sand - enough of these silly pictures!
This was taken the morning of our departure. One of us looks squirrely, the other just looks wiped out. That basically sums up the trip for us! We're glad to be home safe and sound, but we did have a good time despite everything!

Michigan Adventures

We had quite the week of travels! We started out visiting Uncle Jason and Aunt Shannon in Baroda. They took us to the beach and showed us how much fun it is to visit them and St. Joseph!

After leaving the Baroda Kruschels, we went on to Sleeping Bear Dunes area. Let's just say the trip was a little less than relaxing. However, despite losing our muffler, getting sick, and losing sleep due to firecrackers, rain, and a little wakeful Monkey, we did manage to have a good day seeing the sights and visiting a beach or two. The weather was perfect and there were no bugs, and we made it home safe and sound. A success in the end, we say!

This is mama's favorite picture of her family. We were grateful that the Spiegelbergs let us borrow this backpack carrier - a very handy thing to have!

Adeline loved the beaches! This one was a little colder, so we weren't going to swim. She still wanted to try the water, though!

Summer Time Adeline

What could be more fun than dresses and hats for little girls in the summer time? Here are a few of our favorite poses of the Little Lady in her cute outfits.

The Four Stages of Crawling

Stage 1: The Hop Like a Bunny Technique and Dramatic "I'm Stuck!" Signal

Stage 2: The Warm Up and the Diving Catch

Stage 3: Go for What You Like

Stage 4: Go for What You Should Not Have

Adeline's crawling maneuvers first propelled her forward on May 29, while Grandparents Kruschels were visiting. She's been honing her skills ever since, and is well on her way to wherever she likes - and many spots she should not be! It has been fun watching her go. We thank you for letting us share with you!

When the Relatives Came II

We had a great time when G & G Kruschel and Uncle Nate came to visit for a bit!

You can't see Uncle Nate because he's behind the camera.

We thought this picture summed up the visit fairly well - Grandpa and Uncle Nate relaxing on their vacation, Grandma taking pictures, and Adeline just taking it all in stride.

Adeline Looks

This is the look that lives up to her nickname, Monkey.

This is one of my favorite pictures so far. I can just hear her say: "Aw Mom! You got me a purple hippo to play with!"

Here she is with a toy monkey - a ridiculously cheap garage sale buy that could keep us all entertained for hours. As you can see, at first she wasn't too sure about it - it moves by itself and makes quite a bit of noise.
